What is your camping season?
Generally the first weekend in May through the last weekend in September.
When do you start taking reservations for the Season?
Reservations can be made for the season starting in mid-January (the first Monday on or after the 15th.)
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 2 days notice for cancellations on all RV sites, Tent Sites, and Cabins, and a 10% processing fee will be applied for cancellations.
Any cancellations made within 2 days of check in will be non-refundable. We also do not offer refunds for early departures.
Any reservation on a holiday weekend requires 7 days notice, and a 10% processing fee will be applied for cancellations.
Cancellations on holiday weekends made within 7 days of check in will be non-refundable.
What time can we check in and when is check out?
Check in is 2:00 pm. Check out is 12:00 pm.
Please re-register for additional days prior to 12:00 pm (Noon).
How do I get to the Duck?
From 1-25 at exit 141, head 12 miles West on Hwy 24. Make U-turn on Hwy 24 at the Chipita Park Road exit. Get into the right-most lane and drive East 250 yards. Exit onto the first driveway on the right. You should be able to see our sign and our blue roof by then.
We are located at mile marker 291, almost to 292 on the Eastbound lane of Highway 24.
What are the quiet hours in the campground?
10:00 pm until 8:00 am.
What are the office hours?
8 AM to 8 PM
What may I put on my campsite?
One camping unit and one automobile are allowed per site. Exceptions for tents are given with management approval. Alternate parking is provided for extra vehicles with a fee per vehicle. Please keep site free of all debris.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes! Every campsite and cabin is connected to Wi-Fi. It is free, secure and fast. Get the password at the office.
What is the pool like?
We have the warmest pool west of the Mississippi river, 84-86 degrees.
Pool hours are 10 AM to 8 PM.
What are the swimming pool rules?
NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY! Open 10 AM to 8 PM. Children 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult. Please, no food or beverage in the pool. No Glass. No dogs in the pool or inside the pool fence. Have fun!

How does it work to fish?
Our pond is spring fed and stocked with rainbow trout. Fee per fish caught. Catch & Keep only. Fishing hours are dawn to dusk.
No rod? No problem! Buy one in our camp store. We also have bait, stringers, and other fishing gear for sale.
For your convenience we have a designated fish cleaning sink at the dish-washing station. Please do not gut fish in the dish sinks and please clean up after yourself.
Can we have a campfire?
Yes! Firewood is available at the office. Fires are allowed in the fire ring or on the grill. Please do not move the fire ring at your campsite. Campfire allowances are subject to local regulations.
Can I bring my pet?
Yes! Pets are welcome, but please keep them on a 6 ft leash and under your control at all times. Pets are also welcome in cabins but must be kenneled inside. And please CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PET!
Pet fee $3 per day/per pet for camp sites.

Do you have restrooms and showers?
Our restrooms and showers (no coins needed!) are located in our main building and are open 24 hours a day.
Do you have on-site laundry?
Yes! Coin-operated laundry open 24 hours a day.
Where do I wash my dishes?
We have a dish-washing station for dishes. Please, do not wash dishes in the bathroom sinks or showers.
How far are sightseeing attractions?
Attractions are just minutes away from the Duck. We are at the base of Pikes Peak, minutes from Manitou Springs Cliff Dwellings, and minutes away from Cave of the Winds. Check out our Things To Do page for more information.
